KILLED IN ACTION Sydney Thomas Hewitt, Seneca Daniel Manieux, Toronto Pte. Sydney Thomas Hewitt, of Seneca Township, was a son of Mr. Thomas Hewitt and 23 years of age. He was a member of the 20th Batt., 2nd Contingent. About a year ago he was wounded, and after recovery, got back in his old Batt. He enlisted at Cayuga, and was an ex-pupil of Caledonia H. School. Pte. Daniel Manieux was a member of the 83rd Batt. and went from Toronto but was drafted into the 19th. He went over last April. He was a son of Mr. D. Manieux, of this village, and was in town for a few days before going over. He leaves a wife and three children in Toronto.
