My mother was Annie McLure Mclennan. She taught at that school and boarded at Gillespie's. She married Stewart Duncan McLennan. My grandparents, John Robert and Lily Ann (Schoultz) McLennan lived on a farm across the road from the school. Mrs. Gillespie encouraged my Mom to go on a first date to a dance with my Dad.
I lived on walkers road 1967 - 1968 and my brother and I would go into the school and play when we get off the bus after school
