- This is a single wooden whiffletree with what appear to be hand forged iron ends and rings.
- Notes
- Whiffletrees (Also called Whippletrees) are used to distribute the force from a point load to the chains or straps on each side of the harness. The center of the bar is connected to the load and the ends to the harness. These are usually used when pulling plows, wagons or carriages.
