Missing on the Kassel Flight Son of Henry Prior Farr and of Robina Farr (nee Johnston), of Oakville. b. 14 Aug 1915 Oakville News , appeared in Canadian Champion, 4 Nov 1943 , page 4 , column 1 J/14209, Royal Canadian Air Force 434 Sqdn (Although German decoy markers may have drawn off part of the bomber force, the main raid was exceptionally accurate and concentrated. The result was the most devastating attack on a German city since the firestorm raid on Hamburg in July and the results at Kassel would not be exceeded again until well into 1944.
