- Captain William Sinclair Tuck of the 2nd Trench Mortar Battery was killed in action, October 30, 1916. Captain Tuck's body was interred at the military cemetery at Courcelles. He is mentioned in a despatch from General Sir Douglas Haig dated December 13, 1916, and published in the Second Supplement to the London Gazette dated January 4, 1917, for gallant and distinguished service in the field.
