- Arthur Kemp, from Burlington, became the Honorary Colonel, Lorne Scots. Donald Elmore Leaver served as infantry reinforcment officer. He joined the Algonquin Regiment and fought as a platoon commander in France, Belgium, and Holland. He was wounded in Holland in 1944.
