This is my grandfather`s brother which I never got to know. Elwood died a young man after serving in the war, i wish i could have got to know such a great man. He was well known as a great shot with a rifle . My father Gerald Hernden has told me about Elwood and how proud the Hernden family is of Elwood. His legacy live`s on today. Thank`s to Elwood and many other `s we live in a free country .
