Description
A small model of a wooden sauna that was particularly popular with the Finnish loggers in the area. The Finns brought their love of saunas with them and the benefits quickly became apparent to their fellow loggers at the end of a long hard day in the bush.
Notes
Saunas were popular in Finland long before Finland had a name. A sauna is a small room or hut heated to around 80 degrees Celsius. It is used for bathing as well as for mental and physical relaxation.
