Description
This is a copy of a black and white photo of Rebecca Allen sitting on an upholstered chair outdoors, holding a bouquet of flowers in her lap.

Mrs. Allen's hair is pulled back and up off her face and she is dressed in a long light colored dress with long sleeves, and buttons up the front to the neck.
Notes
Notes beside this photo state that Mrs. Allen was born Feb. 17, 1850 in Lanark County, Ontario and married William Allen January 28, 1868 at 18 years of age.

The notes tell of her journey to the Iron Bridge area with seven young children, and her life of challenges including surviving a house fire and the loss of five daughters before they reached adulthood.
