Description
A colour photograph depicting an axe-like tool with the cutting head at right angles to the wooden handle. It rests on a wooden floor in a standing position with a log wall visible in the background.
Notes
ADZE Parallel to the development of the axe ran the development of the adze. It was shorter handled than the axe and was therefore a chipping tool rather than a shaving one. This adze is circa 1895. Loaned by: Stan Hunzinger Humphrey, Ontario, August 1974
