Joanne Reeves Lovely Bride , Quiet Ceremony
Blind River - A wedding of interest took place in Blind River at the Holy Family Parish when Joanne Reeves R.N. became the bride of Philip Louis Provencher.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Reeves and the late C. A. Reeves. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nestor Provencher.
Rev. J. A. Benoit officiated at the quiet morning ceremony.
The bride looked lovely in a smart wedgewood blue English wool, two-piece suit. Her russet colored hat was of plush, trimmed with rhinestones and plumes. And she wore matching russet accessories, complimented by a shoulder corsage of gold and bronze baby mums.
The bride's only attendant was Mrs. Maurice Menard. She chose to wear a beige two-piece ensemble with a tangerine hat and accessories. Her corsage was of white carnations.
The wedding breakfast was held at the home of the bride's grandmother Mrs. A. Barker at Iron Bridge.
The couple left for a honeymoon in Toronto and other points in eastern Ontario.
The newlyweds have taken up residence in the Menard Block on Lakeside Ave.
