- This photo is from a 1950 Journal Argus newspaper and shows the North Ward School. The building was constructed in 1875 and also served as the high school until 1955 when DCVI was built. The school was renamed to Arthur Meighen Public School in 1984 in reference to its most famous graduate, the 9th Prime Minister of Canada.
