Description

This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. In this image stands three men next to an old delivery truck. Written on the side of the truck reads "D. Cappa Fruit Dealer. Phone 225" and on the bed of the truck reads "Cash Store" declaring that the store was a cash only store.

Donato (Dan) Cappa was a successful owner of a grocery and fruit store located on Water Street. It was 1911 when Mr. Cappa purchased the store and started the grocery and fruit business which he ran until his retirement in 1951.

Notes

Condition: Excellent- The postcard has yellowed with age, but otherwise the image is clear and in great condition.
