- Description
- This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. This is an image of the interior of Fred Hutton's Store, currently 113 Queen Street East. Standing inside of the store are four men, three of which have been identified. The man standing on the left, behind the counter is Tom Egan. Sam Bartlett is on the right side, wearing a white apron. One of the men at the back of the store is Fred Hutton.
This photo provides a great example of what the interior of a general store looked like. Notice the staircase at the back of the room which led to a second-floor display area. Also take note of the tin ceiling. - Notes
- Condition: Good- There are two creases along the bottom edge of the postcard with a dark stain on the bottom center of the postcard.
