- This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. It shows the Victoria Bridge over the Thames River, with the southwest corner of the Opera House in the middle of the frame and marked with a dark "x". The Victoria Bridge was built in 1865 to replace the current wooden one, at the cost of $4450. Walkways and larger parapets were added, and major renovations done in the 1930s and 1984. It was designated as historically and architecturally significant by the Town of St. Marys in 1978.
This postcard is used and dated September 6, 1906. - Notes
- Condition: Fair - Wear on all edges and corners, discolouration in upper half, some stains on matte.
