Description
This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. It depicts seven men standing on the nearly completed Wellington stone bridge in 1911, which was completed at the cost of $6000 under contractor Joseph Patterson. Visible across the bridge is a blacksmith shop belonging to Donald McLarty, and dominating the background is the Opera House.

This postcard is used and dated July 18, 1912.

Condition: Poor - Wear on edges and all four corners, heavy wear throughout image, heavy discolouration.
