- This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. This is a photograph looks southeast over the Thames River and Victoria Bridge. Visible in the centre is the flour mill and Opera House, which was gutted and used for mill operations during this time. On the skyline is the spire of the United Church, which was removed in 1942. On the far right edge, the tower from the old Central School can be seen.
