Description
This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. It is a view of the London Bridge spanning Trout Creek, taken from Station Street facing southeast. In the background, the Water Works can be seen. The London Bridge was constructed in 1857 after a new branch of the Grand Trunk rail line was opened. The first trains passed over the bridge in 1858, and the bridge is still in use today.
