Description

This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. St Marys Cement was founded in 1912 by John Lind and Alfred Rogers. Together they led a small group of investors in building a 2 kiln, 180 tonne per day cement plant at a cost of $250,000. St Marys Cement is one of the oldest cement companies in North America and a major producer of cement related materials in the Great Lakes Region.

This postcard is used and dated September 15, 1928.

Notes

Condition: Poor - Heavy staining and discolouration throughout, creasing in upper right corner, wear on all four corners and edges.
