- This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. It depicts the St. Marys Collegiate Institute, looking southeast. Built in 1875, its most famous graduate was Arthur Meighen, who was the ninth Prime Minister of Canada. The school had been added onto many times, and was a public school since 1955 when a new high school building was opened in St. Marys.
The school was renamed Arthur Meighen Public School in 1984, closed in 2011, and eventually torn down in 2016. - Notes
- Condition: Good - Some wear on upper corners, slight discolouration on matte.
