Description

This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. It is a view of the First Baptist Church, looking northwest from Church Street South. Although a previous Baptist Church was founded in St. Marys in 1867, this one at 34 Church Street South was built in 1902. Built in a Romanesque revival style, it features small rectangular tower with half-round stained glass windows and long, narrow arched windows on the rest of the building.

This postcard is used and dated August 8, 1929.

Notes

Condition: Good - Some wear on corners and edges, slight creasing along matte.
