Description

An article written by local columnist Dorothy Eedy titled "More recollections from former publisher". In this article, Eedy writes about her father-in-law Lorne Eedy Sr. and his series of articles called "Dear Mr. Editor" which acted as memoirs of his life. He wrote these memoirs in 1946.

In this edition Eedy provides excerpts from Lorne Eedy's writings on his trip to the United Kingdom and how he met his wife Grace. Lorne was offered a job from an acquaintance in Toronto to "sell a boiler plate service to country publishers in return for advertising space". The money he made from the job allowed him to take a trip to Europe. Eedy describes Lorne's trip to England and Scotland with his sister Irene.

The article also describes how Lorne met his wife Grace while she was working as a teacher at the local Collegiate Institute. Grace and Lorne got married on October 31, 1911.

Condition: Very good - Text is legible. Little discolouration of newsprint paper. Three small areas of adhesive staining in the left half of the article and another spot at the top edge of the article.
