Description
An article written by local columnist Dorothy Eedy titled "Rotary women promote assistance for Inuit radio station". Eedy writes about the Inuit community Baker Lake located in the Northwest Territories (Baker Lake is now located in Nunavut; Nunavut separated from the N.W.T. in 1999). Eedy's son had conducted environmental studies in the community some years before. Baker Lake's CKQN FM radio station was in need of financial assistance that year and the St. Marys Inner Wheel donated the proceeds from their annual Court Whist dessert party to the station.

Recipes included in the article: "Pumpkin Ice Cream Pie" and "Graham Cracker Crust".

*This article is one in a series titled "Eat at Our House" available on Picture St. Marys. For more information on Dorothy Eedy see "Other Web sites/External links" under the main image.
