Description
This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. It depicts the Granton Public School, known also as S.S. No. 7. The two room schoolhouse was built around 1896 to replace the previous wooden one as the population grew. It was closed in August 1963 and sold for $2600 on 5 October that year.
Notes
Condition: heavy creasing on corners, darkening on the back from moisture.
