Description
This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. Pictured is the pavilion at the Lakeside Resort, with a few buggies and a crowd of people gathered outside. The pavilion measured at 80 by 50 feet, and was constructed around 1908. It hosted dances, family reunions, and wedding receptions until the 1950s. Later in its life, the pavilion began to deteriorate and was used as storage for boats before being torn down.
Notes
