- This image is one in a series of postcards from the Reg Near collection. This is a postcard sent to commemorate the New Year, and was sent on 31 December 1913. Whereas most postcards feature an image and inscription on the front, this one is much more elaborate. On the front, a small booklet is attached and decorated with a red ribbon and a drawing of a poinsettia. Inside, it features small drawings in gold and a poem written by E.A. Lempriere Knight. On the card behind the booklet is a print of a painting of a nature scene.
