- This photo depicts the cenotaph in front of the Town Hall in winter just after its construction. The cenotaph was unveiled on November 7, 1921, three years after armistice of 1918 (the end of fighting in world war one). 65 names of soldiers who died during world war one in the St. Marys area were placed on the memorial.
