Description
This is a photo of the former West Ward School, located at 121 Ontario Street. This view can be seen from
Thomas Street. In this photo, the windows at the front of the school are bricked up.

West Ward School was opened in 1866 in order to accommodate the growing number of students in St. Marys. Eventually all students were moved to the new Central School or North Ward School (Arthur Meighen Public School) instead. Until recently, the building housed the St. Marys Early Learning Centre.
