Description
This photograph shows members of the Public Utilities crew in 1939 standing in front of the old Public Utilities Commission Garage. You can just make out the letters "PUC" on the door of the truck on the left, and the date on the licence plate of the truck on the right. The garage was located in the alley just west of the old PUC office that faced Wellington Street North. The alley still exists, leading from the Scotiabank parking lot and going behind the Cheese Shoppe.
