- This is a photograph of the St. James Anglican Church. The Anglican Church is the oldest of the St. Marys churches. The first portion of the church was built in the late 1850s and was a simple one room structure that could seat about 350 people. Around the 1880s, every congregation in St. Marys underwent major building projects. Unlike the other St. Marys churches at the time who decided to rebuild, the Anglican church maintained their original building and expanded on it with a chancel, porch, and tower. The portion on the left, the Parish Hall, was added in 1907.
