- Description
- This is a photograph of George and Leone Buxton. Leone (Lougheed) Buxton was an early dietitian, before the job became more common. Throughout most of the year she lived in New York with her husband, George Buxton, and worked at a hospital there. In the summer, they returned to Leone's family home in St. Marys at 235 Queen Street East.
George and Leone Buxton had no children. When Leone died in 2001, she donated to many local charities and organizations, including the St. Marys Museum. - Notes
