In 1994, after two years of effort by a committee led by Lorne Eedy, it was officially announced that St. Marys would be the new home of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame, and it opened on June 4, 1998. Since then, the Hall of Fame has served to value baseball and contribute to community and economic development, education, and healthy lifestyles. - Notes
