- Description
- This is a photograph of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame bid committee doing a presentation. You can see that the man who is presenting is pointing to a map of the area where the Baseball Hall of Fame would eventually be located. In 1994, after two years of effort by a committee led by Lorne Eedy, it was officially announced that St. Marys would be the new home of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was opened on June 4, 1998. Since then, the Hall of Fame has served to value baseball and contribute to community and economic development, education, and healthy lifestyles.
