- Description
- This is a photograph of the LACAC (Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee) touring the row of three buildings on the southwest corner of Water and Jones Streets. A description from the Journal Argus Plus on July 17, 1989 says:
"St. Marys' Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee (LACAC) took part in a tour of the former UAP premises PUC storage building and the adjacent frame house on Water Street South at Jones Street on Monday evening. During the education tour various aspects of architectural restoration and conservation were explained. The three buildings are being restored and remodelled by property owner Lorne Eedy, publisher of the Journal-Argus. At left, detail of roof on the former PUC shed (circa 1918) on Water Street South shows corrugated steel covering which is rare in the area. The building was originally a farm implement shop and later served as a fruit storage depot." - Notes
- Condition: poor - image is very discoloured and there are spots where the shiny layer on the paper has worn off.
