Timeline_Panel_1970 COBOURG ARCHITECTURE TIMELINE 1970-1979 COBOURG BEST WESTERN HOTEL What was once a house and collection of cottages on the main highway between Toronto and Montreal has gradually developed into this modern hotel. Changes to the building are regularly being made in line with customers' needs and corporate styling. 930 Burnham St. 1978 WAGNER HOUSE This home is in the style that was tremendously popular in the late 60s and early 70s - the split level house. The two storey section with the garage is connected to the one storey level at mid-height. 333 Lakeshore Dr. 1970 MADELINE ROONEY BRIDGE This bridge on Harden St. was named by Council to honour Miss Rooney. A tireless and lifelong worker for the good of her home town, she was also Citizen of the Year in 1977. There is still no identifying plaque on Madeline's bridge. 1972 1 HAMILTON COURT The mansard roof, more typical of the late 19th century, shows prominently in this rear view photo.
