- when closed, the end of the top handle "catches" under the edge of the screw on the bottom handle; when screwed tightly it keeps the clippers closed
- flat edges of the top and bottom edges are ridged and can be used as nail file
- engraved inside: "King Klip Co. U.S.A. / Pats Nov 28, 1905 Sept 15, 1908"
