- (.1) - glass tube closed at both ends; bottom end tapers and ends in a ball filled with mercury, mercury is topped with a layer of lead pellets and thin red wax, thin yellow tinted glass tube is attached in the wax and runs almost the length of the tube; paper behind the inner tube is marked in increments of 10 from 0 to 220 and reads: "DAIRY THERMOMETER, FAHRENHEIT, NO.43"; brown glass top at top end
- (.2) - paper printed in black with instructions for rejoining the mercury column ( L-14.8, W-7.5)
- (.3A) - bottom of long, rectangular box, cardboard covered with brown paper, lined with brown tissue paper (L-28, W-2.1, H-2.1)
- (.3B) - lid for 3; sticker on top reads in part: "FLOATING THERMOMETER/PASTEURIZING/…" (L-28.2, W-2.3, H-2.1)
- from Libby McNeil plant on Richmond; used to check cooker temperatures for canning
