- Description
- This is an image of Ron Laidlaw dressed up in his gear, presumably for a military air pilot. He has a military wedge cap on, and he looks to be wearing a military uniform underneath a fuzzy jumpsuit he would be wearing to stay warm in the cockpit of the plane. He also is wearing warm boots to stay warm as well. In his right hand, he is holding some gear, and in his left hand, he is holding straps. A few houses can be seen in the background of this image.
Ron Laidlaw was the son of William (Bill) Laidlaw and Alice Ready. He grew up in St. Marys and became a journalist and photographer in London. More biological information on Ron Laidlaw is available in the A1005.4 Ready-Laidlaw Collection at the St. Marys Museum and Archives. - Subject(s)
