- This is an image of Bruce, Grace, Annie and Isabelle Chesterfield at Isabelle's graduation from Western University. Everyone in the image is dressed up for the occasion, and Isabelle is wearing a graduation cap and gown.
James Allen Chesterfield and Annie Wilson had six children: Charles Henry; Mary Agnes (married Mr. Rutter); Bruce Allen (married Edith Mae Pringle); Grace Annie (married Wilfred F. Walker); Norman; and Isabelle Florence (married Charles Kennedy). They lived at 36 Ontario St. N. for many years.
Isabelle attended Western where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree, with Honours in Business Administration and Secretarial Science. She graduated from Ursuline College of Brescia at Western in 1937. Her mother, Annie, managed to send her two youngest children, Norman and Isabelle, off to university despite being a single mother with four other children.
