- - silver Canada General Service medal, the obverse bearing the burst of Queen Victoria, the reverse depicting the Canadian Red Ensign within a wreath of maple leaves with "CANADA" at the top
- the silver disc is attached to a straight bar suspender through which a red, white and red ribbon passes, mounted to the suspender is a silver bar bearing the words "FENIAN RAID 1870.", the rim of the medal is impressed with the recipient's information "Pte. S. Leech 24th Bn."
