Description
Carte de visite studio portrait of a middle-aged woman with a black silk jacket and a very full skirt with a checked pattern. She is posed on an outdoor setting with rocks and a seascape in the background and is holding an umbrella. The number 1826 on the rock is probably the photographer's inventory number.
J. L. Wilson was one of the first St. Marys photographers. This photograph was taken sometime in the 1860s or early 1870s.
