The teacher in the back row on the very left is Fred Anderson. The next person to Fred may be Ms. Blackler. Thanks, Charlie. You are correct.
You have the correction. My mother, Ethel Slater, retired at the end of June, 1971 so she would not be in this picture.
When doing a Google search for a particular person, this photo popped up. To my surprise, I found 2 of my former Central Public School teachers: Principal Julia McIntyre, who taught me in Grade 5 (1949-50) and K.C. Seale who taught me in Grade 7 (1951-52)and thankfully introduced us guys to football. The photo brought back a lot of good memories of 2 teachers who played a part in my development.

I had a Mrs. Paul as my Grade One teacher at Central Public School in 1961. It looks like the Mrs. Paul in this picture is the same teacher, but because the picture is small I can't be 100% sure.
