- Description
- Marjorie (always called Marne) Sanderson in her early teens. She is wearing a lovely white summer dress with tucks and a large hair ribbon.
Marne was the daughter of F. G. Sanderson, mayor of St. Marys in 1911 and member of parliament for the Riding of South Perth in the Liberal government of McKenzie King.
Marne grew up in St. Marys as part of a large extended family of many cousins, including the Cavens, McIntyres, Dustys and Roberts. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and enjoyed such activities as the St. Marys Little Theatre. - Notes
