So lucky to have found St.Mary's website and the photo of my Great Grandfather's store downtown. My grandfather Wilbur Lofft continued the family business of one of his uncle's stores in Brantford ON, J.M.Young & Co. Dry Goods.
My great grandmother's ( Catherine Young ) father was George Young and her stepmother was Nancy Eaton an older sister of Timothy Eaton's. The family seemed to have a lot of interest in retail merchandising !! My father's uncle Fred Lofft ran the store in St. Mary's until 1958. I believe Young's Jewellers were also family related.
I am not aware of any known relatives that are still in the retail business any more.
