- Photo of the Maxwell Band (likely taken around 1917). Maxwell was a manufacturer in town that employed many St. Marys residents until its closure.
This photo shows the band members all holding onto their instruments and in their band uniforms.

A very popular band organized in St. Marys including many I knew then like Arnold Weston (top row), Wilbur Hamilton (second bottom), Alf Vize.
They once before the year 1917 or 18 played at a Garden Party at the Barnett home.
