- On back of photo:
You paid for your own uniforms, skates, sticks, meals, hotel bills, etc transportation. We knew of course we would be in the same group or district as Stratford and they were one of the best hockey towns in Ontario and we had no chance to beat them but we tried.
The last game we played in Stratford, at half time about five minutes before going on the ice, a Stratford sport came into our dressing room and threw a handful of Japanese snuff on the red hot stove, we exploded with sneezing. Our eyes ran water, we couldn't see, but the referee ordered us on the ice and the more we exercise the more we sneezed. We did well to stand up without trying to play hockey. - Date of Original
