- Description
- Photo looking east along Trout Creek, towards the London Bridge.
In 1857, the Grand Trunk Railway announced that they would be opening two lines to St. Marys: one from Sarnia and one from London. The first train crossed the London Bridge in 1858 and the Sarnia Bridge in 1859. The London Bridge still serves the Grand Trunk Railway today, but the last train crossed the Sarnia line in 1989. - Notes
