- A transcript of an account, from July 1st, 1800, received of William and Abraham Nelles by Geo. Forsyth & Co. for lumber. This lumber was used for the first Court house, at King and Prideaux streets, and Navy Hall in Niagara. The Geo. Forsyth & Co. is believed to be connected to the Forsyth, Richardson Co. that was a major importer of merchandise for Upper and Lower Canada wholesalers and retailers. The first Court House was destroyed in the burning of Niagara in December 1813.
