Description
This is a leaf-shaped plate with a dark brown glaze. It is also decorated with a grape leaf pattern. The artist was Joseph Thomas, Wooden Box Pottery, Derbyshire. The plate is reported to have belonged to Mrs. G. Lawe, a United Empire Loyalist, during the War of 1812. .
