- This sabre is made of metal, leather and wood. Along with its scabbard, the sabre was made by Woolley, Deakin, Dutton, & Johnson, as it is inscribed on one end of the scabbard. This scabbard is made of metal with two rings attached. Further research in 2010 suggests it is a British 1796 light cavalry sword pattern. The Leather grip with ear langets were used for securing sword to scabbard. The sword is black marked with a crown over '5' as a marking of Woolley, Deaking, Dutton and Johnson the suppliers.
